3C Story

Christa found ‘Camden’ as a pup in the parking lot of Oriole Park @ Camden Yards in June of 1994. He was extremely malnourished, dangerously thin, filthy dirty and weighed only 70 pounds. The vet estimated that he was about one year old. Within just a few months, Christa nursed him back to health and up to his ideal weight of about 125 pounds. He became an instant member of the family and a true blessing.

In February of 2000, Camden began to have unexpected epileptic seizures. A barrage of blood tests and exams yielded a diagnosis of “hereditary epilepsy”. After many hours of reading and research on the subjects of epilepsy and dog food/treats, we changed his diet to all natural kibble, fruits and vegetables. We also began baking all of his treats, because we could not find ANY treats that did not contain either added sugar, or salt, or meat, or eggs, or dairy products. Christa and Chris (and Camden too) founded 3C Baking Co. that summer. Christa knew the ingredients she wanted to use, Chris was a professional chef and helped create the recipes and Camden volunteered to be the taste tester. (Well, Chris did too!)

3C Baking Co. treats are made with all natural, human quality ingredients with no added sugar, salt, dairy, corn or meat and they taste as fresh as they smell! We bake them with love for our best friend and yours. The base for each 3C Baking Co. recipe is Organic Whole Wheat Flour and Organic Rolled Oats. We specifically chose all of our ingredients for their health benefits and their aroma. A healthy dog is a happy dog and 3C Baking Co. is proud to continually help nurture lots of happy dogs!

3C Baking Co. dog treats are baked hard & crunchy and are great for any size dog. All four flavors of our dog treats are hand made, each one from their own ORIGINAL recipe. In every 10 oz. bag of our treats, we include something else original - a 'Canine Quote' – it’s like a doggie fortune.

"Paw-mesan Tomato" ~ Made with Parmesan cheese, tomato paste, garlic, basil - its spaghetti sauce without the mess.

"Ginger Pumpkin" ~ Our special holiday flavor that was so popular, we have now added it as a year-round flavor.

"Mint Paw-sley" ~ Pure spearmint oil, parsley and mint – so you can give your pooch a smooch.

"Carob Chip" ~ Since dogs can't have chocolate, this is the doggie-safe version of a chocolate chip cookie.

Our customers are concerned about all of the unnecessary additives in commercially produced dog food and treats, and believe in feeding their dogs a healthy diet. You can’t even pronounce most of the ingredients in today’s mass-produced dog treats and food, let alone know what they are! (Trust us, they’re fillers and chemicals and preservatives - stuff nobody’s pooch needs to consume!)
